I have been designing and drafting residential remodels and additions off and on since 1984---from simple, non-structural, cosmetic work to full-blown add-ons and second-story additions that  sometimes double the size of the home. I have designed over 75 home additions and remodels in Santa Cruz County, San Jose, and the Monterey Bay.  My design approach is to stress practical utility, to aesthetically integrate the new with the existing structure and to avoid getting carried away with too many bells and whistles.  I welcome as much design input as the homeowner feels comfortable offering. In addition to designing and drafting houseplans, I am available to draw perspective renderings of existing buildings,  proposed buildings, proposed additions, and conceptual sketches.
